How Many Copies Has Minecraft Sold? It was already the game with the highest sales ever recorded. It has sold even more copies, surpassing the second-place book by over one hundred million.
Since its release, Minecraft has already established itself as the video game that has sold the most copies worldwide. Today, it has announced that it has sold an astounding 300 million copies, another feather in its crown. This specific feather is even more impressive than the last one.
According to a statement released by Helen Chiang, the president of Mojang Studios, “As we approach the 15th anniversary, Minecraft continues to be one of the best-selling games of all time, with over 300 million copies sold. This is a milestone that no one could have dreamed of when we were all placing our first blocks.”

During this year, you can select a penguin, an armadillo, or a crab as your pet. If I had to vote, I would choose the penguin because it is adorable.
More than three hundred million copies of Minecraft have been sold, surpassing the sales of almost every other kind of entertainment material since humanity began keeping track of records.
This is certainly not anything to be proud of. For some context, Thriller, the record for the most successful album of all time, has sold about 70 million copies. Approximately 155 million PlayStation 2 consoles were sold, making it the most popular gaming platform ever.
Grand Theft Auto V, the second best-selling video game of all time, is not even close to competing with Minecraft’s stats, reaching 185 million recorded sales.
Minecraft is in a league of its own and will likely continue to be in that league for a very long time, or at the very least until Half-Life 3 is released.
